VERDANT NOIR

Verdant Noir was created from my fascination with the contrast between darkness and life, and how something so deep and dramatic can make nature's beauty feel even more alive.

The glossy black resin became the foundation, almost like pools of still water, while layers of preserved moss, succulents, natural lava rocks, stones, and greenery emerge around it. 

I added the flowing gold details to create movement, connecting each little landscape as if nature were quietly finding its own way through the darkness.

What I love most about this piece is that there’s no single place for your eye to settle. You naturally begin following the pathways, discovering different textures, shapes, and small details along the way.

Verdant represents the richness of the greenery and new life. Noir represents the deep black backdrop that gives that life its drama and presence.

For me, Verdant Noir is a reminder that even in the darkest spaces, life has a way of finding its path and flourishing.
